Going Buggy

Oh, there could be so much read into this!  I go buggy, riding in a buggy, but this time it is buggy as in bugs.   The topic for this week's Sunday Stills.

Here are a couple of my buggy photos.

An Andy Update (Weeks 25, 26 & 27)

YAAAAHH!!  We have passed the half way mark with the 52 week project.  Andy has been in quite a few photos already.  I have missed a few opportunities  (like the farm centennial celebration).  AND, I will need to keep coming up with new ideas as there are still 25 weeks left to do!!  Oh well, I signed on to this project because I thought it would be fun!

So, I have not posted all of my "entries" on the blog.  Here are the last three submissions:

25/52: Andy took time to smell the Lilacs

26/52:  Andy seeing the challenges of operating a tractor and all of the controls that his farmer has to manage in order to plant the crop.

27/52:  This week Andy went on a little road trip with me.  We had to take a different route as there is water over so many roads in our area.  I (we) popped over a hill in the middle of nowhere (on a gravel road) and there was a stop light!!  The road construction crew must not have been able to hire anyone to flag for them so they are using this.  It made me laugh!  There is a US Air Force Security vehicle in front of me.

Sunday Stills - Yellow Flowers

Sunday Stills photo challenge topic this week is 'Yellow Flowers'.  I will share a few here:

Leafy spurge (Euphorbia esula L.)

( Although I guess the yellow part is technically not a flower)

Dandelion

Prickly Pear

Yellow wild flowers

One benefit of traveling around for harvest is that I get out on some prairie trails and find new photography subjects.  This week it happens to be flowers.  Our Fotos by Friends group this week is looking for photos with sun or moon light.  I tried to snap a few photos of flowers with the sun shining through them.  I took a few others too as the sun (and the flexibility of my body) don't always cooperate!!

Nature Walk

My little photo group on Facebook , Fotos by Friends, had a theme of spiderwebs this week so it was time to go for a walk. (Heaven forbid I take photos of the webs in the house!!)

I found a couple of spiderwebs:

This is in the corner of a grain bin that two of my guys were emptying out,
so it had a bit of grain dust on it to help it show up nicely.

But while looking for other things to "shoot", I noticed some wild sunflowers.  As I got closer I noticed a honey bee on it.  The bonus:  a lacewing!

The bee about has it's Pollen Buckets full.

There are so many titles one could use for this one, but I will let you use your imagination!
(Perhaps in the Comment section)

Macro Monday 18 Jun 2012

I found a blog that promotes Macro Photography (close-ups).  It has "Macro Monday" when folks share their macro shots.  Okay, OK, I know it is Tuesday, but I did not have computer time yesterday.  So, I will still participate just a little late!!

This flower was at our son's home.  There are many flowers there and I was shooting a few one afternoon.
