Going Buggy

Oh, there could be so much read into this!  I go buggy, riding in a buggy, but this time it is buggy as in bugs.   The topic for this week's Sunday Stills.

Here are a couple of my buggy photos.

Sunday Stills - Yellow Flowers

Sunday Stills photo challenge topic this week is 'Yellow Flowers'.  I will share a few here:

Leafy spurge (Euphorbia esula L.)

( Although I guess the yellow part is technically not a flower)

Andy update - Weeks 19, 20 & 21 PLUS Sunday Stills

Wow!  I guess time must have flown right be me.  I did not realize I had gotten so far behind on my Andy posts.  With today's submission, I will be caught up on the 52 Weeks Photography project.  Coincidentally, another photo group (Sunday Stills) that I follow has a topic this week of multiple photos of one subject.  So Andy will be famous this week!

WEEK 19:  Andy the Cookie Monster!

(Brett happened to like these cookies too!  They were soft sugar cookies with sprinkles in the batter.)

WEEK 20:  Ready to go to work

Andy is always in the camera bag ready to go to work.
I guess that is one of the downfalls of being the photo subject of a full year!!
Here he sneaks a peak at what else is going on!
WEEK 21:  Josh's graduation party
Andy thought he was a part of the centerpiece at this graduation celebration.

Sunday Stills: The number 7

When I learned of the topic for this week's Sunday Stills I kind of got excited!    You see, there is a 7 in our ranch brand.  I thought that should make it pretty easy for me to participate.  So, here are my submissions ...

This is our brand done with barbed wire.  Beside it is our ranch logo stitched in leather.

Here is a freshly branded calf .

If you would like to learn more about branding, this is a bit about our last session:  Branding 2012

I am sharing this on Sunday Stills.

Sunday Stills: Circles

One of the photography groups I enjoy has a weekly theme due on Sunday.  (So I am a day late)

This week's theme was "circles".  I have a couple of them I would like to share.

A roll of tin - technically a coil not a circle, but I am not being technical!

Golden Circles
A field of straw that my family baled up to use this winter to help keep the cattle warm.  I think when they were all done baling the acreage there were about 1600 bales (each weighs about 1000 lbs.).  Anyone want to buy some?  They are for sale.

Let's Take a Closer Look

I follow a blog named Sunday Stills.  This week's challenge was macro photography (close ups).  So, I'd like to share this entry:

It was not until I looked at the photos on the computer that I realized there were cob webs coming off of the the barbs.  I thought it was neat and am considering "mounting" it on canvas for display.

Yellow wild flowers

One benefit of traveling around for harvest is that I get out on some prairie trails and find new photography subjects.  This week it happens to be flowers.  Our Fotos by Friends group this week is looking for photos with sun or moon light.  I tried to snap a few photos of flowers with the sun shining through them.  I took a few others too as the sun (and the flexibility of my body) don't always cooperate!!
