Christopher & Brett have been busy taking turns in the tractor baling straw. I don't know if they will ever finish! Our neighbor offered us the opportunity to bale some of his Winter Wheat straw. We knew it looked like there would be a lot of straw there, but never would have guessed this much!! It seems like the "boys" need to stop about every 150 feet to tie another bale. I think they might be wishing they would not have taken quite so many acres of straw! Oh well, we will have plenty of bedding for the cattle this winter.
Some more of the Golden Circles (straw bales):
They are beautiful all lined up! The cattle will appreciate all their hard work this winter I'm sure! :)
ReplyDeleteThat is just how they were baled. Notice how close they are? As neat as it looks, it will also be a lot of work to get them home ... and where to store them? (outdoors of course, but this will take a lot of room!)
DeleteNice. This is so much more than i needed!!! but will all come in use thanks!!
ReplyDeleteDrop Deck Trailers
I love the baled hay shots. I remember having to load the smaller square bales by the trailer loads. Hot, hard, work.
ReplyDeleteBeen there done that too! We still put up a few straw and alfalfa bales every few years. They work real well in the big barn (see my photo) when we are busy during calving season.
